I loved this book pretty much from the beginning. Both characters are pretty relatable, but Tara for me really pulled at my heartstrings. Everything she’s been through, everything she’s going through … if this was a video I’d be clutching at my pearls. I could barely put this book down. I was reading it every spare moment I had.
Where to start? The banter... the tension... the chemistry... did i mention the banter? Tara is probably one of the most relatable characters I've read about in a long time, and Lukas just ticks all the boxes! Their relationship is imperfect in a perfect way as it's realistic. Was worried that there would be a typical roommates to lovers in the first few chapters, but was pleasantly surprised, and I, for one, cannot wait to continue this adventure with them!
This book was the perfect amount of sarcastic, witty, dry humour and banter I love while also making me resonate deeply with the vulnerabilities throughout from all of the characters. I cackled and teared up enough that I’m pretty sure I confused my nervous system, but I absolutely loved every page! I can’t wait for the next book to find out what happens!!
